Christmas

We spent Christmas Eve mostly at home.  We listened to Christmas music, we cooked, wrapped presents, decorated, and just enjoyed some quiet time together.  It was wonderful.

WE attended the Live Nativity

We made and decorated Christmas cookies

We acted out the live nativity.  Eli was Joseph and I was Mary.  Joshua was baby Jesus.

Gavin was a wise man.

Unfortunately we didn't get any more pictures from Christmas Day because it was a bit hectic.  We went to church, had a ward linger longer, and then went to our friends for an extremely delicious dinner.  I am sad I didn't get any pictures!

West Virginia

Boyd had some extra time off as we neared Christmas and the weather was looking good for traveling, so we decided to make a last minute drive down to see Grandma Miggy and Sherilyn and the McNeeley clan. We had a great time and the cousins had a great time playing.

We took a nice walk since the weather wasn't so bad.

We had a talent show. The McNeeley's are a talented bunch

Advent Calendar

The advent calendar is one of our favorite traditions at Christmas. I didn't get a picture of all the daily activities, nor did I get a picture of everything. But, I didn't get a few.

Thanksgiving

I hosted my first Thanksgiving and cooked my first turkey. I don't think it was the best turkey ever cooked, but there was no major turkey disaster! Thankfully, I didn't cook the whole meal. Our guests all brought delicious food and it was a great meal. We also went to the parade. Boyd got there at 5 with a bunch of other guys from our ward to save spots. We joined up around 7. We had front row seats and had a blast.

this is the only picture I took of anyone at Thanksgiving.  And this didn't even have all the kids.

A "Ball"

Boyd and I went to the "Maple Leaf Ball" with Boyds coworkers. It was fun to get a gown and get dressed up.
